The activist party of the year is coming this May.

 

The Activist Awards Grassroots Gala is an annual event hosted by Washington Peace Center. It is the activist party of the year, where DC activists are celebrated for their hard work and success in creating a more just and peaceful world.

 

We must continue to resist on all fronts, work in collaboration across communities, and energize our spirits as we continue this work.

 

This year, Washington Peace Center has joined forces with DC native visual artist and designer, Aliana Grace Bailey, a member of The Sanctuaries, a racially and spiritually diverse arts community committed to social change.

 

The #KeepFightingDC project speaks to our love, strength, passion, and resilience; the fight within us as activists, the fight within this DC community, and the value in initiating conversations around social problems and being a part of solutions.
